As the name suggests, "nariyal" meaning coconut in Hindi, a name we derived to honour our beginning, most of our products are crafted from discarded coconut shells, reclaimed wood from fallen coconut trees, and other unused parts of the coconut tree. We focus our efforts on eco-friendly practices by converting these materials into beautiful, sustainable products. Every product is aesthetic and functional, thereby ensuring that our customers receive high-quality items that are also environmentally responsible.

At Nariyal, we work with artisans from across the world in bringing our products to life. To ensure fair trade and ethical practices, we do not negotiate with our artisans and pay them in advance and offer them any additional resources they may need to craft the products such as sanding tools and safety equipment. We follow their crafting instructions to help preserve traditional craftsmanship. This way, we not only support their livelihood, but also their cultural practice that allows them to pass it on to future generations. By showcasing their work on a global stage, we help to raise awareness of the beauty and value of traditional artisan crafts.

Our artisans first craft a few samples at their convenience and without the stress of having to meet any deadlines. We then check and test the sample before requesting them to craft more.
